Smiles

Hayley has started smiling now and its enough to melt my heart. I love those baby smiles. Thought I would share some with you!

Trail of Lights

We decided to take Peyton to the Trail of Lights this year on the coldest day of the year. I'm not sure why we thought this would be a good idea but I was sure Peyton would love all of the lights. He loved the fact that they had all of his favorite characters like Wild Things, Little Mermaid, Micky Mouse and so many others but he did not like the cold or wearing all of the clothes that I put on him. I think he was pretty confused on why something so cool could be so bad at the same time. Next year we will be sure to go when it is not freezing outside. Here are some pictures from the night and you can pretty much tell that Peyton had enough of being cold. The famous Tree, we started out here and Peyton loved the big tree. He kept saying pretty lights! This was probably his favorite thing, the fire. He learned to warm his hand over it.

The very beginning of the Trail of Lights. It is so neat.

Peyton was already very cold here.

Daddy and Peyton walking the trail.

The Wild Things!

Peyton thought they were very cool!

Dr. Seuss, we tried to get Peyton to look at the camera but there was better things to look at.

This picture totally describes our visit to the Trail of Lights.

Peyton did not think that these pictures were necessary.

Santa

Peyton was so excited all morning to go see Santa, mainly because I told him that he could get a candy cane afterwards. So, a friend of mine and her two little ones went to the mall to take pictures. We got there right before it opened so we didn't have to wait in line. That turned out not to work. They didn't have the keys to open the camera equipment and they said it might be hours until they could open. They told us we were more than welcome to sit with Santa and take our own pictures. Neither of us had our cameras so we had to use a camera phone. Peyton wasn't very cooperative with smiling at the camera. I'm trying to decide if its worth going back to take a real picture. This year Peyton wasn't scared of Santa but he also wouldn't talk to him or smile at him. And they did not have candy canes to give out. I guess I should have checked before I promised one so we had to go get a cookie afterwards. Anyways, here is our picture from the camera phone. Merry Christmas everyone!

Randomness

Sorry we haven't posted in a while. Its been kinda crazy but fun around here. This weekend we went to Houston to visit my parents while Mark was hunting. We had a lot of fun shopping and just playing. I didn't have the camera so I don't have any pictures to share but here are a couple recent ones.

Hayley and Woody (Peyton loves to give Hayley toys to play with).

Here is Peyton trying to give Hayley her passy. He is so sweet to her, except for the occasional foot in her face. He is the typical big brother already.

We got Hayley new bedding for the crib. Peyton was a little upset that his crib was being taken over. He hasn't slept in it for almost 5 months its funny that he cares. I think he is over it now because he let Hayley take a nap in it this morning without trying to climb in with her.

So cute!

Last year we took Peyton and Avery to get their pictures taken in their Aggie gear. We wanted to continue the tradition this year so we we added the two new babies to the mix. Here is Avery and her little sister Grace and Hayley and Peyton. I think they should be the models for an Aggie kids line but I guess I am a little biased.

Tummy Time

We do Hayley's tummy time in the morning and Peyton always joins in.

Happy 2nd Birthday Peyton

On Peyton's real birthday I took him to his first movie, Madagascar 2. He had a blast and actually sat through the whole movie. We had so much fun and it was nice to do something with just the two of us.

Here Peyton is picking out some candy.

You can't really tell but Peyton was so into the movie he was leaning forward holding onto the seat in front of us.
We got Peyton some Toy Story figures and a Toy Story shirt for his birthday. He loved them.

Ever since Hayley was born Peyton was getting up several times a night wanting us to tuck him in. The night before Peyton's party Mark got tired of getting up and camped out with Peyton. I got to take a picture before they got up the next morning. Don't they look so cute?

It has been 3 nights since Peyton has gotten up in the middle of the night so say a prayer that this phase is over.

We had Peyton's party at a park this year. They have a little train you can rent and everyone gets to go for a ride around the park. We had a lot of fun but it was also the first cold and windy day of the year. Note to self, November can either be 90 or 40 degrees in Texas.
We got a bubble machine for the party and this was by far Peyton's favorite. Mommy and Peyton before our train ride.
"All Aboard!" Peyton kept saying that as we were all getting on.

Our conductor!

They decorated the train for Peyton's birthday!
Peyton's Buzz Lightyear cake

We couldn't light the candle because it was so windy so we just pretended.

He loves cake!

Peyton and his friend Kaitlin enjoying their cake.

Peyton loved opening presents this year. He played with his new toys all afternoon.

Peyton tickling his Uncle Andrew. This is his 2 year old shirt I made him. He is so big now :(
