Chicago

Peyton and I went to Chicago with Nancy and Kelsey (my mother and sister in law). We visited family that lives in Chicago and Grand Rapids. We had a blast. It was a girls week and it was truly amazing. We spent some time outside of Grand Rapids Michigan and went to see Lake Michigan which looked like the ocean. It was so beautiful. Peyton loved the sand and was completely covered by the time we left.

The next day we drove into to Chicago and did some sightseeing and shopping. We also got to go to the Broadway musical, Wicked. Thank you to Brian and Michelle who babysat Peyton and Carolyn while we got to go. The show was awesome.

Here we are walking around Chicago.

My camera broke on the trip so I had to steal some pictures from EB and Aunt Kathy's blogs. Thanks guys!

Hot Springs

We had a great time in Hot Springs. It was a long drive but we got to have some quality family time. On the way up we spend the night in Dallas at Great Grandma and Grandpa Lange's house, (unfortunately, they were out of town so we didn't get to see them). Peyton found the piano and fell in love. He had a blast banging on the keys.

We got to stay right on the lake and it was very pretty but also very hot. I didn't get any pictures of Peyton in the water but Mark took him in and Peyton showed everyone how much he learned this summer at swim lessons.

We got to go into town and visit one of the old bath houses. It was really neat and even more important they had air conditioning so it was a great break from the heat outside.
This was one of the ceilings in the Bath House, isn't it beautiful?
