Rough Weekend

Well, it has been forever since I have posted. I wanted to give everyone an update on how things are going at our house. Last weekend was rough and we are still recuperating.

Hayley had her first and I hope to be last febrile seizure. It was the scariest moment of my life and I hope to never have to do it again. She was better in less than 30 minutes but it still probably gave me 30 gray hairs.

Peyton had his first trip to the hospital. He had a virus last week that they thought was Adenoid Virus. He was feeling tons better by Wednesday so we continued to Dallas as we had planned. When we got there he started complaining that his ankle hurt. It looked a little swollen but nothing to be too concerned about and he said it felt better with his boots on. So, I let it go. Then the next day he woke up in horrible pain and his other knee was twice as swollen as the other one. We took him to the minor emergency care where they told us to go to the Children's Hospital. At Dallas Children's Hospital they did x-rays, blood work, and a virus test and decided that it probably was a reaction to the virus that he had previously. It was good to hear that it was not a septic joint. We had to return to the hospital the following day so they could make sure his knee did not get worse over night. On Sunday he was doing a lot better and was able to walk on it. We were so happy to get back to Austin and see Daddy (he was at a fishing tournament). We went to visit our Pediatrician on Monday and he ordered more blood work. We just got those tests back and Peyton's Sed Rate is still high so we have to go back next Thursday. Please say some prayers that his levels are back to normal by then.

Other than a crazy weekend we have been having a blast at the pool in our neighborhood and are ready for some great family time in July. We are going to Point Pleasant New Jersey and to Port Aransas. I am almost 7 months pregnant now and so we are about to add another baby to this madness :) Hope everyone is having a great summer!
