Helping with Laundry

Yesterday I was doing some laundry and made the mistake of leaving the basket next to Peyton. He entertained himself by taking all of the folded clothes out of the basket and speading them around the floor. He even took apart the socks that were paired together. It was so cute how entertaining clean clothes could be.

Meeting my Cousins

My sister in law and my niece and nephew came to visit last week. They are finally moving back to the states. We are so excited. When they came to Austin we all went up to Dallas to see some of my Mom's side of the family. We have a huge family so there are many cousins for all the kiddos to hang out with. We took some of them to Chuckee Cheeses. They all had a blast.

This a new tunnel that we got. Peyton loves crawling through
it. It was a hit!

Here is Peyton with some of his cousins in Dallas. He didn't know what to do with all these girls!

This poor cat. I was so amazed that this cat will sit through this torture.

Peyton and his cousin Sadie
This is River (Peyton's cousin) He loves to rock out!

Peyton and Sadie on the Carousel. They really enjoyed it.

Here is River and Jacob climbing all around. It looks like they are in jail. I actually had to climb up here to get Jacob out. It was really good exercise.

Joe McDermot Concert

Sorry it has been so long since I have posted. Peyton and I have both been sick with some dreaded stomach bug. We are both feeling better and yesterday we got out of the house for the first time in a while. A couple of my friends and I took our kids to a Joe McDermott concert. He was playing at Pottery Barn kids in the mall. He is really fun and if you haven't heard him check out some of his fun songs at http://www.joemcdermottmusic.com/ We had a blast at the concert and then we did some lunch and shopping. It was a great girl's day. I even got Peyton's Halloween costume and I cannot wait to put him in it.

Here are the Peyton and Avery on the porch getting ready to go to the concert. Its their first date, aren't they cute!

All ready in the car, man it takes a while to get to kids in the car!

Here we are at the concert. Jessica and Avery, Peyton and I, and Katherine and Kaitlin.

Swim lessons

This summer Peyton and I have been taking swim lessons with a group from our playgroup. Corina, one of the Moms in our playgroup has been teaching the lessons. I haven't posted any pictures of them because while we are in the pool I can't take pictures. Friday is our last day so I will bring my camera and have one of the Moms take some pictures of Peyton and I in the pool. Peyton loves the water and has a lot of fun splashing around. He has even learned to hold his breath as I bring him under water. We have had a blast this summer and owe a big thank you to Corina. Here is a picture of some of the babies at the end of our lesson.

4th of July

We had a rainy 4th of July here in Austin. Actually, it has been raining for about 2 weeks now. I think we are all about to float away. Anyways, we had a pretty lazy 4th of July. Mimi, Papa, and Andrew came over and hung out and Papa made some delicious ribs for us. We had fun. Peyton also had is first banana. He wasn't really sure what to do with it but loved smashing it all over his high chair. It got really slimy and messy but it was fun watching him enjoy it.
Peyton pulled up on his knees for the very first time. We were so proud, although he wouldn't pull to a standing position yet!

Here are all the boys taking their afternoon naps!

My first banana!
Hmmm, what should I do with it.
Mimi tries to get me to put it in my mouth.
Now, Dad tries.

I think I will just squish it.

Around the House

Now that Peyton is crawling all around he has found some new favorite things to play with. His favorite thing to get into is the fireplace. He loves to stick his fingers in there and play with the mesh screen. I didn't get any pictures of this because I am trying to get him not to play in there. He has been such a joy to watch. I love watching him explore our house. He gets entertained by the funniest things. Here are some pictures of him exploring his new surroundings. I love to open and close the door!

Wow, its kinda cold in here.

Mmmm, this looks fun to play with.

Peyton loves this box. He likes to try to take the lid off. Here are the puppies. Peyton will crawl over and see them from wherever he is in the house. He would stay here for hours and stare at Bambi if I would let him.
This is Peyton's new favorite toy. He loves the door stop. It makes great sounds. Here are Mommy's shoes. Even more fun.
Peyton is trying to crawl and get the puppies. They run as soon as he gets close but he tries anyways.
